Pforzheim was the foundation of a manufactory for the production of watches and bijouterie in 1767 A.D. that made the city on the rivers Enz, Nagold and Würm the internationally renowned "City of Gold".
The jewellery museum in the Reuchlinhouse
The Reuchlinhouse is located in the citypark of Pforzheim. The museum, situated int he Rechlinhouse, has a unique collection of original pieces from the last five thousand years and has temporary exhibitions.
Wildpark (free entrance, only parkingfee)
The almost 16,5 acre wildpark houses almost 70 different species; birds, fishes, mammals and amphibians. Further there's a children's farm and 2 playsgrounds. The parc offers also the possibility for children to feed animals.
The Emma-Jaeger-Bath is the largest swimming pool in Baden-Württemberg, with a.o. outsidepool, whirpool, slides, sauna.

About 80 vehicles, many small exhibits and information about the history of Porsche are on display at the Porsche Museum, in a building designed by the architects Delugan Meissl.
Mercedes Benz Museum
Since 2006 the Mercedes Benz museum is located in a building next to the headquaters of Daimler AG. On nine levels and covering a floor space of 16,500 square metres, the museum presents 160 vehicles and over 1,500 exhibits.
Wilhelma zoo / Botanical garden
Wilhelma's park is almost 70 acres in size (280,000 square metres). With over 1.000 species of animals, Wilhelma is one of the zoos that has the most species, not just in Germany but worldwide. In addition there are some 6.000 species and varieties of plants in Wilhelma's botanical gardens.Today's Wilhelma Park belongs to the historical heritage of Baden-Württemberg.
Holding a rich stock of paintings and sculptures the Staatsgalerie Stuttgart is one of the most visited museums in Germany. The main focus of the collection is art of the 20th century. About 800 works are presented in the permanent exhibition and special exhibitions show works from the broad collection of 400,000 sheets of the department of prints, drawings and photographs.
